I’m cranky and emotional and I want my blood results back and my tummy hurts and I’m tired BUT I just made a cup of tea and Alice is at the shop buying me cookies. Every cloud.

I’m utterly content. I made bruschetta for my tea and then rice pudding for afters (it’s still in the oven, all rice-y and milky and nutmeggy and yummy) and soon I’m going to curl up with my hot water bottle in bed (it’s freezing and I can’t afford to put the heating on) and watch a film.
